Meet your Modesto Area Dentist: Dr. Joseph King

I’m Dr. Joseph King, a general dentist who truly loves the full scope of dentistry and the opportunity to care for my patients every day. I treat a wide range of needs — from restorative and periodontal care to oral surgery and endodontics — and I have a special passion for helping patients who feel anxious about visiting the dentist. My goal is always to make appointments comfortable, reassuring, and focused on long-term oral health.

I grew up in California’s Central Valley and earned my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of the Pacific before completing my dental training at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. During dental school, I became involved in microbiology research and joined the American Association for Dental Research, which strengthened my interest in evidence-based care.

To further expand my skills, I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency through Lutheran Medical Center in Arizona. I also proudly serve in the Army Reserves as a general dentist with the 7305th Medical Training Support Battalion. More than anything, I enjoy working with a great team and helping patients feel comfortable, supported, and confident in their smiles.
